AFG vs. The World

ART FOR GOONS was founded in Los Angeles, CA, in 2020 by Robert “Rob” Cunningham to uplift the voices and experiences of black and brown creatives.

With Los Angeles full of ever-evolving creatives, we deem it essential to give black and brown creatives a space to express themselves and share their artwork in a way that feels authentic and liberating. Every day offers new experiences, and every creative has a unique and distinct way of expressing them.

Art For Goons fully understands the power that words can wield, so we, the “Goons” in Art For Goons, intend to reintroduce the word to a much more positive light. The term “Goons” has been used to degrade and explain the nature and culture of black and brown people negatively. We can’t allow that anymore; to be a Goon has become a thing of love for me and my homies, and it should be for you and yours also.
