The Black Cowgirl. The pinnacle of Black pride, grace, and freedom. The reclamation of a legacy misremembered by the world, but rarely forgotten in Black culture. I am so thankful that I met Brittany when I did; without her, this would’ve been another idea trapped in my thoughts. Brittany, with her horse named Rose, was meant for this shoot and I am in awe that this happened the way it did. Shoutout to the universe for bringing us together and making this happen.
